I would also like to see some examples of branded e-mail Subject Lines. I also appreciate the other hints on optimoizimn e-mail marketing.

I manage a high end web development group, but our mrketing has just been referrals ...looking to expand!

i would imagine that a branded subject line would be something along the lines of "Google Buys YouTube" or for marketing purposes, perhaps, "Check Out the New Microsoft Vista".

I would also like to see examples of "Branded" subject lines. The part about putting dollar amounts instead of percentages in subject lines makes perfect sense.

Hi Chris,

I've found that using money amounts in subject lines increase open rates quite a lot. I've found this to be true both, in hispanic markets as well as english markets.

By the way, Silverpop's studies are always full of useful tips.

Cheers,

Wow Chris, that's a huge difference. I wonder how it effects the spam filters of the major mail clients? Certain words seem to send legitimate mail to the spam box.

I think Branded email subject lines is much better than Boasted email subject lines. Power/action words seem to have been so over used that now they have the opposite effect.

Internet Retailer looks like a great resource site. I have it bookmarked for regular visits.
