Does Google Have CIA Ties?
Robert David Steele a former clandestine services case officer for the Central Intelligence Agency says Google and the CIA are “in bed” with one another. He made the remarks on the nationally syndicated Alex Jones radio show.
Steele stated “I think that Google has made a very important strategic mistake in dealing with the secret elements of the U.S. government - that is a huge mistake and I’m hoping they’ll work their way out of it and basically cut that relationship off “. Steele says he has confirmed this information with his contacts within the agency. The question this raises is who is controlling information that may be seen as controversial? Is censorship-taking place and how would one go about proving that censorship has taken place?
One possible example of censorship taking place could be the manipulation of the online film Terror Storm . The number of viewings the film had on Google were kept artificially low. Speculation this was done so the film would not enter the top 100. Google says the problem was a glitch and issued this statement; “The temporary statistical change in public view was a result of system issues”. Ok. Fair enough. I just hope the first amendment is not in jeopardy because of what someone at the CIA may want to censor on Google or anywhere else for that matter.
Michael Hampton who writes for www.homelandstupidity.us wrote “Even while Google presents a public image of vigorously protecting its users’ privacy, it has quietly provided assistance to several U.S. intelligence agencies, such as the Central Intelligence Agency and Defense Intelligence Agency, as the U.S. prosecutes its war on terrorism.” As for Steele he stated, “If Google is indeed starting to do harm then I think it’s important that be documented and publicized”.
We’ve heard these kinds of claims before, so we’ll leave it up to you. Is this a case of where there’s smoke there’s fire? Or is it time for tin-foil helmets all around?
You’ll notice that I published that story in February of 2006, eight months ago.
I am at a loss to explain how it’s suddenly become big news now, when it wasn’t then.

Not all Robert Steele’s feel as Robert David Steele does. There could be significant gains to the intelligence community by utilizing the efficiencies and lessons learned from a commercial search engine. Why is it that if any given company is tagged with working in the Intelligence Community the conspiracy theorists such as Robert David Steele need to sound the false alarm bell.

Why on earth would google, a clearly left leaning company - assist a Republican administration to ’spy’ on citizens? They spy I’m sure but for their purposes, as do all marketeers - for purposes of selling people more crap that they don’t need.

Don’t buy into the left/right imagery that is portrayed. Google is now a leviathan company, money and power always comes first over any lingering political beliefs that the founders of the company may hold on to. Look at history and you will find that the left has engaged in its share of rights violations around the world also.

We don’t have Nixon to kick around anymore! The CIA are momma boys who don’t know the real world. I did like their drone missles. They should have used it on Saddam during a routine motorcade. Some of his deputies could have been corrupted by the CIA to assume power after being killed by a drone. The deal is that they be friendly to USA interests. Iran was more of a threat than Iraq. The Russians would have been upset if Iran were attacked since they were a major customer at a time when Russia desperately needed the money. Russia gets more money from China by selling them long range missles to aim at east coast USA. Saddam and Iran did not get along. They had frequent border wars where poison gas was used by both sides. It killed innocent civilians in addition to the expected military casualties. Bush, by invading Iraq, upset the balance of power in that region. Now Bush worries about Iran becoming an ally with Iraq if the present puppet government fails. Oh, well…
OMG Google could really become the Big Brother we all ready about in 1984. Seriously think about all the info they could be gathering on you. Searches obviously… If you use Gmail too… then who your pals are… What you write about… what people write to you about… The list goes on and on, the more of their nice, free services you use.
