SEW: Live Coverage

I was unfortunately unable to attend the one day SEW: Live show in Columbus, but we were able to send a crew up to cover the show (and they did a great job I think). As we progress with the video coverage of events, we are always trying to learn and come up with ideas about to how best to publish or present the coverage.

In the past, we’d released a video or two per day each day after the show. For this show though, we blitzed the coverage in a major way and decided to try releasing it in big chunks. Go check out our SEW: Live Columbus collection of coverage and be sure to let me know what you think.

For example, would you prefer a steady flow of one or two per day or, do you (like me) think it’s a lot better to blast out as many of them as you can as fast as you possibly can?

Mike,

As a news junkie, I’m a good case for the target market that wants the news fast. For this event, I saw the first two videos come in Wed. night and a blog piece that led me to them. The next morning,I knew I had a topic to write on.

However, someone commented today on my blog post coverage that he hadn’t even HEARD about this event until he saw my post. Which raises another question. Should Webpronews promote where they’re going BEFORE they even get there?

You all do a terrific job, btw. Please pass that along to the team. Your work is truly appreciated.

Mike what you really need on this blog and the video blog is a way to subscribe to comments through email for those that dont use RSS readers. If I comment I have no idea if someone else comments after me. I would just add a simple plugin that allows users to subscribe by email.
